Snowflake Challenge 2024
This year, I'm participating in the Snowflake Challenge over here instead of my personal journal. Also, I'm helping out as a volunteer commenter this year! If you haven't participated in Snowflake Challenge before, it's a fun month-long challenge to celebrate fandom life and meet new friends. You can check out the comm here:

Challenge #1 is to update our profiles/intros. Just finished mine, and it's definitely been long overdue lol. Can't wait for the next challenge!

An Obi fan! Yay! Me too. I've some of the Jedi Apprentice books on the TBR pile, and keep wondering if they are worth the read. I am a huge EU fan too, though mostly through the early half of things [mostly pre-kids- strictly due to timing]. Zahn's first trilogy remains some of my favorite stories in the fandom. I am outraged by the lack of Mara Jade. THANKS DISNEY. The prequels are terrible, but they 'did* give us some fun characters/ canon bits to play with. But boy howdy, do I love Clone Wars. I mean, I hate the heartache, but really love the clones.
I have a lot of unshared SW feelings, it seems. I'll stop here.
It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

I definitely recommend the Jedi Apprentice books. They're not too long to read, and I love the characterizations and how the relationship between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon develops throughout the series. Also, tons of angst. (Because poor Obi-Wan is just never allowed to be happy for very long it seems.)
Agree on the outrage at Mara Jade's absence. She is awesome. I think the original Zahn trilogy is probably my favorite piece of Star Wars media. And yes! The Clone Wars broke my heart so many times (I still cry at how Five's story turns out) but it is also so so good. Do you have favorite episodes and/or characters from the series?
Thank you for stopping in, I'm always happy to chat about fannish stuff!
