They're not too long to read, and I love the characterizations and how the relationship between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon develops throughout the series. Also, tons of angst. (Because poor Obi-Wan is just never allowed to be happy for very long it seems.)
Agree on the outrage at Mara Jade's absence. She is awesome. I think the original Zahn trilogy is probably my favorite piece of Star Wars media. And yes! The Clone Wars broke my heart so many times (I still cry at how Five's story turns out) but it is also so so good. Do you have favorite episodes and/or characters from the series?
