(Technically not new, but I don't think I've talked about it anywhere yet, so this is the first official announcement anyway.)

On April 14, I started a brand new WIP. I don't have a title for it yet, so the project name is simply "Road To War" for now. Although that will probably end up being the series name instead of the book itself (because of course I'm already planning on having multiple parts to this story; I have no self control).

So what is this new project? A fanfic that takes place in the DCAMU, after Reign of the Supermen. I was disappointed that we don't see Superboy after that movie, and when he pops up again it's for a ten second cameo in the final movie of the series? Nope, we deserve more Superboy. This project started as a way to bridge the gap between the two movies and explore how Conner got from Reign to Apokolops War. Hence the "Road to War" title for the project.

This first book will focus on the early basics. Conner will be getting settled into his life on the Kent farm and trying to adjust to... well... everything. Because let's face it, this poor kid is barely a few months old and has already been through battles, watched one of the men who raised him be viciously murdered, treated like a child celebrity with no personal life, and had his only real guardian try to kill him because he "wasn't good enough". He's been through a lot. And now they're just dumping him on a farm in Kansas and hoping for the best. So this story will tackle all of that and explore how Conner is actually feeling about all of this.

I'll keep posting updates as I go, but I don't think I'll post the actual story until it's fully done. I anticipate this being one of those annoyingly non-linear fics -- where the scenes come to me in whatever order my brain chooses and I can't just sit down and write it from beginning to end. I may post snippets, though, either on here or my tumblr.
