When I began my adventure into the strange world of the indie web in June of last year, I really didn't think it would become such a passion of mine. It's been almost a year now and, in that time, I have actually learned a lot about coding that I didn't know before. I went from barely knowing how to italicize text to being able to code my own site from scratch. As proud as I am of how my site is shaping up, I know I have a lot left to learn and I'm having a ton of fun doing it.

I've recently made the decision to start expanding outwards from my main site. Some of the fanpages/fansites that I had nested in my main site have grown to the point where they don't fit anymore. I'm going to be migrating a few of them to their own domains in the coming months.

Also! In my quest to explore as much of the indie web as humanly possible, I've continued to explore alternative sites and web spaces. I recently learned of a new web-hosting service called Nekoweb that was created as an alternative to Neocities. Naturally, I got curious and had to check it out for myself. So, I now have an additional site on Nekoweb (here!) and no idea what I'm going to put there lol. Still, I like the idea of having options when it comes to the internet, so I'm happy to give it a trial period and see how much I like their hosting service.

So, to sum up, web coding has gone from something I looked into out of mild curiosity to a main hobby and passion for me. I'm excited by everything I've discovered and learned over the past year and look forward to further adventures as I continue exploring the indie web.
